Choosing a Texture

The final step in drywall work is applying the texture and finish to the wallboard. The texture is determined by the look and feel you want to achieve in your project. Often, you will want to match the texture found on existing drywall.

We are texture matching specialists. When patching drywall, you don't want to see where the patch was made! An expert drywall finisher will be able to match your existing texture so that the hole in your wall disappears completely.

The ultimate finish is smooth-wall. Other drywallers may talk you into a spray texture such as orange peel or a heavy knock-down. Beware. These textures hide imperfections like sloppy hanging or framing. They are found in tract homes where the focus is on production - fast rather than nice. We can do these textures as well as the next contractor, but on custom projects, you might want to think about either a smooth wall or a hand troweled old-world finish.
